Dover Diaries' latest story

We'd like to share with you a quick story about a friend God has brought into our lives over the past few months, let’s call her Anna. She arrived to Dover as her first base after a long journey to join the military. She grew up around church occasionally, but was discouraged from attending. She had an experience in high school that awakened her to really seek God, but fell into the mindset that many of us do, working hard to please God instead of simply trusting Him.
As we have journeyed together through the past few months, God has showed her that He loves her, not due to her performance, but as a child of God just as he formed her. She asks hard questions, some that don’t have easy answers, but is learning how to really fall in love with Jesus and have a living, active relationship with both Him and other Christ-followers around her. I wanted to share with you an excerpt from an email she wrote a few days ago, she was so excited to know that God could speak to her personally through the Bible.
“I just have the urge to share with you my quiet time this morning. So my scripture that I read this morning was Ephesians 6:18. ‘Pray in the spirit at all times with all kinds of prayers, asking for everything you need. To do this you must always be ready and never give up. Always pray for all of God's people.’
